All,
Gregory Canyon just west of Boulder at the end of Baseline Road was quite
birdy this morning. Returning breeders were Virginia's Warbler,
Yellow-breasted Chat, Gray Catbird, Black-headed Grosbeak, Blue-gray
Gnatcatcher
and Plumbeous Vireo. I also saw an Orange-crowned Warbler and most
unusual were two first-year male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. John Tumasonis
saw a couple of Empidonax, but I didn't see them. Later in the morning, I
refound the Northern Waterthrush in South Boulder thanks to Christian
Nunes,
Peter Gent, Boulder.
