Hello, Birders.
I took a very quick jaunt this morning, Thursday, May 24th, to the North Teller Farms - White Rocks area, Boulder County. Didn't have much time, but did find:
1 singing Willow Flycatcher at the "usual spot" near the Boulder Creek crossing. I do wonder what subspecies we're dealing with here.
2 Orchard Orioles just south of there; a second-year-male, the other an after-second-year male.
1 hybrid Baltimore x Bullock's Oriole with a head mainly like a Baltimore, but with with wing panels like a Bullock's.
1 Eastern Warbling-Vireo.
2 singing Grasshopper Sparrows.
Blue Grosbeaks aplenty.
This area is fantastic in early summer. Looking forward to other folks' reports from here in the next several weeks.
