Yesterday I discovered a nesting Broad-tailed Hummingbird in a Blue Spruce in my yard. She appears to have used the nesting material that I bought especially for hummers and affixed to a Willow tree in my yard. This nest is a first for me!
For the 6th year in a row, I have a pair of house wrens. Of the two houses that the male has established, I think they have settled on one, but I don't think the female is on it yet.
I have lots of Goldfinches this year so if anyone has any ideas about how I can get them to nest in my yard, let me know!
Thanks!
