[cobirds] Larimer: Summer Tanager, Dixon Res.

I just had a Summer Tanager land in front of me at Dixon Reservoir. It sang, then flew off to chase a bee. It looks like a young male - plenty of orange-yellow feathers on the belly, but the head was rose red. I got a few pix - nothing special but they support the ID.

If you look for it, it was in the cottonwoods at the NW corner of the lake, near the water's edge. I believe this is also called Pineridge Natural Area and is on the west side of Ft. Collins.

I'll upload some pix to the eBird checklist later today.

There is a male Black-chinned Hummingbird here in the same area as well (perched at the top of a prominent dead tree), several hundred yards from the one I saw a few days ago. Could there be two?
