Birders,
Today, I found two Scissor-tailed Flycatchers exhibiting courtship
behavior near John Martin Reservoir in Bent County. I considered posting
the location publicly to cobirds, but have decided that since there are
so few nesting records in Colorado (and none to my knowledge during the
COBBA ii period), it is better to leave them in relative peace, and hope
that they nest. If this were a lone bird, I would give detailed
directions. I hope the birding public understands.
If anyone REALLY needs to see these birds (assuming they stick around),
let me know, and I'll try to figure out a way to help see them without
disturbing the birds.
Respectfully,
Duane Nelson
