One of my 1st harbingers of spring, at least at the house, is the
arrival of Common Grackles. While I wait to see if it snows, a sole
individual is hogging the tray feeder today, no doubt to be followed
by scores of his relatives. As I've just been here 3 months, I've had
a pretty good diversity, including an adult male Sharpie that feasted
on a House Sparrow about 10 days ago.
