[cobirds] FOY: GT Grackles and Turkey Vulture east of Canon City

I heard then saw 2 first of the year male Great-tailed Grackles at Holcim Wetlands near Florence this afternoon.  Also a my first of this year Turkey Vulture in this area though saw one near Rocky Ford last week.

I saw a pair  Great Blue Herons reworking a nests at the Holcim Wetlands on Sunday and that had increased to a number of them working on 7 nests today at that location.  Also saw Great Blue Herons working on nests last Friday at a small heronry west of Canon City.
