A Sage Sparrow was perched on barbwire along the Coalton Trail on Friday, March 16 about 0.7 mi NE of the west end of the trail. It was flicking its conspicuously long tail both on the barbwire and after it flew to the ground. I had a few good looks before it was flushed by passing bicyclists. No luck finding the bird on a return trip on Saturday. The sighting is posted on eBird.
