I had a male Black-Chinned Hummingbird at Dixon Reservoir this morning
at about 9:30, the first sighting this year. I have seen one here at
least the last two years. He often perches high in a tall, dead tree
near the west trail between the trail split and the lake. This
morning he was "discussing" territory with a Black-Capped Chickadee
that has a nest nearby.
