[cobirds] Dickcissel adjacent to East Boulder Rec Center, Boulder County

This morning while waiting for the Boulder Bird Club trip to commence, I studied a dead shrub and spotted a couple of Bobolinks in the horse meadow across from the bus stop at the East Boulder Rec Center on the south end of 55th. While waiting for the Bobolinks to return, Diane Carter said that she could hear a Dickcissel. Sure enough, within a few moments we could see it singing from the large green shrub about 30 yards into the field. This is an easy place to search for those few still seeking a Boulder County Dickcissel and maybe the furthest east so far. We then spent a lovely morning birding from shade at Meyer Gulch before the heat became unbearable.
