Cobirders,
At 10:15 this morning, on my way up Bear Peak with my son, I heard from the Mesa trail an Ovenbird singing several times. This was just south (appr. 75-100 yards) of Bear Canyon Creek, right where a shortcut trail leads uphill to meet the Bear Canyon trail. I wonder if this might be the same Ovenbird Ted Floyd reported about a week ago a little ways south by the Shadow Canyon trail.
