[cobirds] Pueblo Mountain Park in Beulah (Pueblo Co.) 6/23 (Acorn WP, Grace's & Hooded Warblers)

Van Truan and I saw the two Acorn Woodpeckers at the usual tree in Pueblo Mountain Park, at the parking lot just west of the Horseshore Lodge in Beulah, Pueblo County this morning from 630-830am.  They seemed to chasing around any other woodpeckers that come to visit the tree, a Hairy Woodpecker got chased out by the Acorns twice this morning,

Also, there was a singing male Hooded Warbler (first found yesterday by Van Truan), and one or two singing male Grace's Warblers (Van saw two at this location yesterday).  These warblers were not far up the road from the old basketball court (south end of the Park).  The Hooded Warbler was mostly along the creek and the Grace's Warblers were singing in the tall ponderosa pine trees.  We also had a flyby Peregrine Falcon, five Red Crossbills, and a singing Olive-sided Flycatcher, among many other birds.  David Chartier showed up, and also got the woodpeckers, and the two warblers.  About two miles further up Hwy 78, I had a singing Ovenbird this morning,

Both Acorn Woodpecker and Grace's Warbler are both new Pueblo County birds for me.
