This morning on East Boulder/ White Rocks trail I found the hybrid Oriole reported before, and a male Orchard Oriole. Both were in the same general area, just as the trail turns north around the lake, in the first three cottonwoods (lake's side). The hybrid seemed to be carrying food back to a nest, but I never got to see him actually go in the nest. Only female Bullock's Orioles in the area.
Also a nesting pair of Warbling Vireos and several pairs of Blue Grosbeaks.
A silent Empidomax flycatcher was on the trees lining the shore in front of the orange gate, soon after crossing the rail tracks. Frustratingly couldn't confirm the ID. Brief looks of another Empidomax just before the bridge; can't confirm it was the Willow F. reported earlier. Not my day with the Empidomaxs...!
On the south side, Teller Farms proper, I did see two male Bobolinks fly around, stop on the cottonwoods briefly before dropping to the fields north of the ditch/trail. At least 4 Dickcissels were seen, two males singing to the south, then a pair on a Russian Olive? tree.
Good birding! (in spite of the heat)
