[cobirds] Chatfield State Park, Douglas County & Jefferson County

Chatfield State Park, today, was a delight with wonderful weather and
varied avian observations! Cynthia Madsen and I scouted the park
before our upcoming Tuesday Birder outing and were later accompanied
by Lori Sharp. Notable observations among our sightings included:

1 Say's Phoebe (inland from the swim beach)
1 Common Loon (Jamison parking lot) YouTube video

10 Horned Grebe and 22 American Coot (Fox Run parking lot)
2 Eastern Phoebe (1 carrying nesting material) under Kingfisher Bridge
and well as 2 additional Eastern Phoebe (1 carrying nesting material)
at the walking bridge over Plum Creek
1 Horned Lark and a Loggerhead Shrike (Model Airplane Field) YouTube

1 Marsh Wren along Plum Creek (near the delta)
1 First Adult (4th year) Bald Eagle
1 American White Pelican.
