[cobirds] Shorebirds in Parker, Douglas County

At about 5:00pm, while birding at the sewage water treatment pond located on the SW corner of Twenty Mile Road and Main Street, I observed the following shorebirds:

Long-billed Dowitcher - 2
Willet - 3
Spotted Sandpiper - 2
White-rumped Sandpiper - 1

These birds are foraging along the SE shoreline.  You will need a scope.  They are easy to overlook if you approach on the SE side and may result in them flying away, so please consider approaching along the north side to view from the SW side.

Also seen:
Ruddy Ducks - several pairs
Redhead - at least half a dozen pairs
American Wigeon - at least half a dozen pairs
Buffleheads - 5 pairs
Northern Shovelers - at least a dozen pairs
Canada Geese pairs
Mallard pairs
Coot
Killdeer
Great-tailed Grackle
Red-winged Blackbird
American Goldfinch
