Nancy Gobris and I set up the RMBO banding station today, to begin banding tomorrow. Lots of leafing-out in the Russian Olives, we think a little earlier than usual.
Saw neither the Lucy's Warbler nor Hooded Warbler, but there were several Myrtle/Yellow-rumps, and at least one male Blackpoll Warbler in the grove around the banding station. Also flushed several times, an adult Long-eared Owl. We'll look more seriously tomorrow.
Banding is scheduled M-Sat, weather permitting, for the next month.
See you there soon,
Steve Brown
