While biking along 111th St north of Prince Lake #2 and south of Isabelle Rd (I don't recognize Leon Wurl Pkway),
I heard an odd call/song.
I stopped and after a couple of minutes, a Dickcissel showed up on the fence singing loudly; popped
out of the alfalfa field on the west side of the road.
I have seen one or two in this same location over the past several years in the summer.
Today's sighting was about 12:15PM.
Editorial: Erie has restarted its quest for world domination after a hiatus of a few years: heavy equipment
is leveling the ag fields just east of this Dickcissel sighting. But, it's ok...it was in their planning documents.
