Dear Birders,
There was a singing male HOODED WARBLER a few hundred yards south of the Bobolink Trail parking lot off Baseline Road this morning. He was making his way south along the greenbelt rather quickly, singing as he went. At the first ditch crossing south of the parking lot, there was a calling WILLOW FLYCATCHER. Back on Tuesday, a little before dawn, there was a singing EASTERN PHOEBE at South Boulder Creek/South Boulder Road bridges. The nest ~ .5 mi upstream from there had three large nestlings that looked about ready to jump last week. Hard to say if the bird I heard on Tuesday is a different individual from the breeding pair, or if it's the same male getting ready for round two.
Great birdng,
