I did observe a western wood pewee flying from its nest (to the left of and down from the vireo nest, in a neighboring tree) to the vireo nest and doing something. I think it was removing nesting material. Once or twice the plumbeous vireo chased it away.
There are two wrens' nests near the vireo nest, one in the direction of the road on the western side, and one in a short dead tree in the other direction, but on the eastern side.
I also went to the bridge at Plum Creek to look for the Eastern Phoebe. I may have seen it from behind, but I never got a good look.
Thanks to Larry Modesitt and Dean for helping me with directions and finding (or not finding) birds today.
