[cobirds] possible Boreal Owl in Blanco Basin

Folks,
My family rented a cabin in the Blanco Basin, south of Pagosa Springs
off of Highway 84. On Wednesday morning, I got up to listen to dawn
chorus and heard what I swear was a Boreal Owl call. We had been out
looking for Boreals the night before so I had the call fresh on the
brain. I tried looking for the owl yesterday starting at 4:30 am.
Conditions were perfect--clear with a nearly full moon--but I couldn't
get an owl to respond to my tape so the bird will have to remain
unconfirmed.
