Here since Monday evening on Lake Dillon, along Hwy 6 and bike path
Huge flock of Western Grebes along the entire section of the lake starting at the Dillon Marina; all calling to each other and diving
Also huge flock of Gulls; I gotta go with Herring Gulls but will take correction. Just looked in my book again and am waffling between Herring and Ring-billed. I know their legs were not yellow; mostly winter adults; however there were quite a few with brown plumage mixed-in.
So the lake has been noisy for sure.
A couple Canada geese; Mallards;
Also an Osprey flew thru.
and 1 Franklin's Gull. And again, I'll take correction on that id; however, its upper wings were a lovely soft gray on top as it flew away if that helps.
