Today at Manitou Lake in Teller County; I had the first two American Avocets I have ever seen in 24+ years! Always nice to get a new species for your local lake.
FOS species for the lake also include: Violet-green Swallow, Barn Swallow and Common Grackle.
25 species in all. Haven’t seen the dippers below the damn in a while – probably feeding young up and down the stream.
Never miss on finding Red Crossbills at the far south parking area.
