Hawk Atlas block. At one stop (approx. 8400 feet), we had a Northern
Pygmy Owl call just before dark, followed by a pair of Great Horned
Owls after dark, and then around 8:30 P.M. a Northern Saw-whet started
tooting and went on for some time. A nice evening and good time to be
out checking for owls in mountain atlas blocks.
