This evening I saw a Tri-colored Heron in the Cottonwood wetlands (aka new wetlands) at CCSP. He was on the near bank of Cottonwood Creek, visible from the path heading east just before the wooden foot bridge. Also a Wilson's Snipe, a solo Yellow-headed Blackbird, 2 American Avocets, 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 18 Blue-winged Teal, 4 Cinnamon, 5 Green-winged Teal, all in or on the banks of the pond.
