It was beautiful morning in Huerfano County...beginning at our backyard feeders we had:

50+ Red-winged Blackbirds
1 lone Yellow-headed Blackbird
Lincoln's Sparrow
Dark-eyed Juncos
American Goldfinches
Black-billed Magpies

At Lathrop State Park:

The Osprey have arrived! Always a treat to see one dive down and catch a fish...then struggle to take off with their prize
20+ Mountain Bluebirds
2 Western Bluebirds (1 male 1 female)
Lots and lots of American Robins
Double-crested Cormorants
While enjoying a wonderful view of my first Say's Phoebe of the year...I noticed movement in the background...got focused just in time to watch a Greater Roadrunner duck into a juniper!
Great Blue Herons
American Coots
Green-winged Teals
Gadwalls
Buffleheads
Ruddy Ducks
Red-tailed Hawks
American Kestral
Turkey Vultures
Spotted Towhee
Killdeer

Sure I am forgetting some...but it was a great time to be out and about!
